Last June, we attended the French Touch Conference in New York City, thanks to Stephan Dietrich, Neolane founder, who invited us. The conference was a huge success with many entrepreneurs and investors in attendance. In just two short days, we were able to make a lot of meaningful connections for Sharalike.

During one of the very well-organized social events, we met François, Maximilien and Benoit, founders of Breega Capital. We immediately took the opportunity to demonstrate the Sharalike app over a very nice glass of Merlot. Breega’s founders quickly understood how Sharalike was disrupting the photo-video sharing space.

1) Why did you participate in la French Touch Conference?
I took part in the French Touch Conference not only because of the innumerable networking opportunities with both high-quality speakers and attendees, but also because I want to promote the success of French companies in the US.
By sharing my experience, I wish to become a source of inspiration for other French companies that want/can make it in this country.

2) On which subject did you speak and what were your expectations?
At the 2014 conference, I sat on two panels where we discussed brands and digital marketing as well as the current French-tech ecosystem.

3) What was your favorite memory during this event?
One of the startups that I follow closely met their current VC during the cocktail party of the French Touch Conference event and raised 600K in a matter of hours!

4) How La French Touch Conference is different from the other conferences?
Being French and based in Boston for the past eight years, for me the French Touch Conference is the meeting point between the two worlds that I adopted: a perfectly balanced blend between French human ecosystem and technological savoir-faire, with the American funding and Go-To-Market capabilities.

5) Anything else to add?
French Touch Conference = French Savoir-faire and Ideas + US Funding & Go-to-Market = Success!
If I had to summarize this experience in a sole sentence, it would be an absolute MUST networking event of the Franco-American high-tech in new York City.

1) Why did Dell decide to participate & sponsor ?

Last year we were launching our Le Center for Entrepreneur initiative, an entrepreneur accelerator program now counting 40+ companies in the cohort, we were fortunate La French Touch Conference was happening as it gave Dell the perfect forum to show our international scope.

2) What was the most valuable aspect of the event ?

As usual in those events networking and panels on thought leadership topic are the critical values, I have to say La French Touch Conference had something special, that “French Touch” that is so unique – from the catered events, to the little details that counts up to some unique experiences only participants could enjoy (like French Embassy dinner)

3) Any other comment ?

I would recommend anyone willing to understand better French Tech strengths and status to participate in this gathering of top entrepreneurs and thought leaders, and if you are thinking about sponsoring, know that the organization team is very adaptable and will make sure you get the best value out of the event.
