Alain is Global Vice President, Strategy & Solutions, IBM Corporation. In this capacity he

leads strategic transformation projects, heads the global Industry Solutions team and manages all Technical Architects and Industry Solution Centers around the world. He is located in New York, USA.

Between 2010 and 2015 Alain was the CEO of IBM France, leading all IBM operations in France, an IBM unit of 10000 employees and the leader in its market.

Alain has had a varied and exciting career. He was General Manager, Global Distribution Sector, responsible for IBM revenue and profit as well as strategy, marketing and solutions for all clients in the Retail, Consumer Products, and Travel & Transportation industries around the world – based in New York, USA.

Prior to that he has been Vice President, Sales, Northeast Europe based in Zurich with a strong focus on emerging markets in Central Europe and Middle East and Africa.

In 2015 Alain was President of the American Chamber of Commerce in France where in launched the “Next Gen” initiative aimed at reinforcing the Start-up companies in their quest for growth and transatlantic collaboration.

Alain is Chairman of the Institut Henri Poincaré – the French organization regrouping all Mathematics associations and home to French Fields Medals such as Cédric Villani.

Alain holds the rank of Knight in the “Légion d’honneur”.
