Shellie Karabell is a 40-year veteran of broadcast journalism, having spent most of her time as a correspondent and producer for ABC News, PBS “Nightly Business report” and “MacNeil Lehrer Newshour” and CNBC. Born in the USA, she has worked across Europe and the Middle East as a journalist and news executive since 1983 and has lived in London, Koln, Moscow and Paris, where she opened the CNBC Bureau in 1999 and served for five years as Bureau Chief and Correspondent. Now “retired” and living in Paris, she writes about leadership for Forbes.com and contributes to Strategy _+ Business, the management magazine of PwC. This year she was featured as one of 21“Femmes et Pouvoir” by the American Chamber of Commerce in France and l’Association pour Favoriser l’Integration Professionnelle (AFIP).
