Co-Founder of Talend & Influans - - President of Tech in France
A serial entrepreneur with deep international experience, Bertrand Diard is the co-founder of Influans, the provider of a solution that enables any brand or retailer to improve thirty-fold the efficiency of their digital marketing by leveraging the most advanced big data and machine learning technologies.
Before launching Influans, Bertrand Diard is the co-founder of Talend, one of the most successful open source vendors in the world. He founded Talend in 2006 with Fabrice Bonan and was its CEO until 2013. Under his tenure, Talend raised more than $100m in venture capital, grew exponentially to a global company of 500 on 3 continents, becoming the clear leader in big data integration. Talend is widely regarded today as a global success story in the software world, having rapidly achieved a disruptor position on both established and innovation-driven markets.
After business school, Bertrand started his career at Manpower before joining office supplies specialist Lyreco to run business development of their e-procurement platform. He then created his first company in the real-time 3D animation space, where he supervised sales and marketing. He subsequently joined system integration leader Neurones to run their new technologies business unit, where he supervised a team of over 100 consultants specializing in areas that included Java development, mobile applications and information management. While at Neurones, he met Talend’s co-founder Fabrice Bonan.
Bertrand remains on the board of directors of Talend, and is also a board member of BonitaSoft and Restlet. He shares his time between the Silicon Valley and Europe, where many promising startups in the big data field are emerging.
